Sandboss is an open source (LGPL) framework generator. It uses Apache Ant and the JBoss application server for development, with application deployment to JBoss or any servlet container. The latest release can be downloaded from sourceforge.
Sandboss is a build-based tool supporting the Structs And Nodes Development (SAND) methodology. SAND provides for large scale code generation, automating approximately 80% of total application development. It is independent of container APIs, and generally compatible with other tools and methodologies. The sandboss implementation of SAND emphasizes modular components and minimal technology dependencies.
To get started using sandboss,
download and unzip
the distribution. In the top level directory you will find a
readme.html file with overview information
and tips on building your own application. Sandboss ships with a demo
task management project called TaskHeap, which is in production
use and serves as a working example. The generated docweb from the latest
release is posted
here.
The sandboss project is sponsored by SAND Services Inc.
